The U.S. Army’s Logistics Civil Augmentation Program IV (LOGCAP) provides contractor support and logistics work for U.S. military troops stationed in Afghanistan, Iraq, and Kuwait. As a LOGCAP prime contractor, Fluor is proud to support U.S. military personnel in various contingency environments around the globe. We provide the Army with the logistical support it needs, so that soldiers can focus on the mission at hand.

We are currently in search of a Refrigeration Technician for a position located in Afghanistan.

 

Refrigeration Technician

 

The roles and responsibilities for this position include:

·         Under general supervision, responsible for general maintenance and repair of reefer units, refrigerated containers, and/or ice refrigeration units.

·         Assists in everyday maintenance of large and small refrigeration units and may assist HVAC departments as needed.

·         Ensures work orders are completed according to contractual obligations, military regulations, and health standards.

·         May be assigned to an Ice Plant, transportation department, or maintenance department.

Requirements for this position include:

·         High school diploma or GED equivalent and 3 years directly related experience is required.

·         Licensure or certification preferred. 

·         Workers should be able to: Rate information using personal judgment or measurable standards; and work at heights while maintaining balance.

·         Physically, workers must be able to: Stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and lift heavy objects; See well (naturally or with correction) and distinguish colors; Use arms and hands to reach for, handle, and feel objects; Coordinate well the use of eyes and hands or fingers. 

·         Prior Military and/or Contingency Operations experience preferred
