Role Summary/Purpose

The Regional Marketing Leader will support the regional sales leaders through the development and execution of a regional growth plan for Europe.
This role will champion programs to meet region-specific customer requirements, competitive threats and market opportunities and be responsible for driving growth by recommending opportunities based on team learning’s.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Lead development of annual strategic plan (GPB): Recommend strategic direction based on market intelligence and external trends in the region. Partner with PL team, GGO marketing and regional sales leaders to execute GPB strategy and develop operating rhythm to support growth initiatives with clear targets, milestones and resources.
  • Own local market/customer/trend insights that drive knowledge Mgmt, segmentation targeting, NPI inputs and local program execution.
  • Drive Innovation (tools and processes) to identify new spaces, customer segments, business models, cross-GE offerings (verticals, solution sets enterprise selling, ie eco, healthy, cities, Olympics, etc).
  • Local program commercialization and translation: Partner with local product management and sales leaders to build an opportunity pipeline for targeted programs. Drive customer level reporting for opportunity pipeline, conversion rate and revenue (partner with Global Industry Managers).
  • Brand, Advertising Events, digital (partner with German and global PR/Communication team).
  • Drive growth through the discovery of unmet customer needs. Work with technology and product management teams to incorporate findings back into solution development and value proposition creation.
  • Work closely with Corporate Marketing and drive MarkNet utilization to leverage and incorporate best practices.
  • Develop and coach marketing / industry talent. Develop operating processes including the appropriate measurements to drive a best in class Industry and marketing organization.
  • Represent GEIP on Regional Commercial Council (sets targets, drive region value proposition, GE regional initiatives) and Commercial dashboard (operating, customer, competitive metrics).

    Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing or a related field of study.
  • Minimum 5 years of business to business marketing experience.
  • Minimal 5 years’ experience in leading marketing, product management and/or sales.
  • Strong project management, communication, presentation and facilitation skills to drive creative design solutions with a cross-functional business team.
  • Solid communication skills to include proficient English speaking/writing.

  • MBA/Master’s Degree.
  • Good financial acumen and analytical experience – data analysis, consolidation, trends and reporting.
  • Knowledge of automation solutions and/or HMI/SCADA and OM software.
