Position Description:
SunGard's AvantGard solution suite provides a corporation with a single view of cash and risk which can then optimize businesses processes for improved management of credit risk, collections, cash management, treasury management and payments processing.

The AvantGard business is looking for an Account Manager to hold responsibility for the Benelux region. The successful candidate will manage the day-to-day relationship with a large corporate client base, identifying potential opportunities, arguing the commercial case for pursuing them, and overseeing the bid management process. You will be expected to actively pursue sales opportunities for the AvantGard portfolio of solutions, across Treasury, Payments Receivables. THIS ROLE CAN BE BASED IN MECHELEN OR AMSTERDAM

Summary of Duties:
•Manage the cultivation, execution and delivery of financial software sales and services into large corporations..
•Manage the building of a pipeline within a client base in order to expand SunGard penetration, and provide solutions based sales and service offering to customers.
•Management of the ongoing initiative of identifying business, industry and customer buying intelligence.
•Manage the communication and internal coordination of SunGard sales support infrastructure including sales support, operations, and executive team to insure customer education and satisfaction.
•Manage and maintain customer relationships, insuring that all assigned accounts have adequate information availability coverage, and ultimately be responsible for customer satisfaction.
•Responsible for the development, execution and delivery of quality solution-focused client presentations.
•Manage the ongoing need to understand inter-related technologies that exist in the environment we sell and keep current on new technology and opportunities as the business and technologies expand.

Position Requirements:
•Substantial successful sales experience within a large technical account environment; applicants must have proven expertise in the software sales market.
•Proven track record in big ticket solution sales (USD $1M+ deal values)
•Good understanding of corporate finance (Treasury, A/P, A/R)
•Familiar with ERP principles.
•Experience working on large, potentially complex sales projects, with high capital values.
•Full understanding of all aspects of the commercial process, including the negotiation of terms.
•Ability to motivate and influence key contacts and decision makers; must be able to communicate at all levels (CFO, CIO, Treasurers...)
•Ability to listen, extrapolate information and leverage SunGard resources to effectively provide solutions to customers.
•Ability to maintain and expand existing account relationships.
•Ability to master new technical products, services and solutions and readily apply new knowledge.

Applicants must be fluent in English and Dutch; French language skills are also desirable. Strong educational background preferred.
