Regional BCP Coordinator [Ref: Regional_BCP_Coordinator_WL] recruitment
Your Role:
- Co-ordination and improvement of Business Continuity Planning across SGCIB Asia Pacific
- Implementation of specific Business Continuity initiatives on behalf of the regional Head of Operations Security Management Department
- Participation in Global BCM initiatives and ensure Asia-Pacific requirements and characteristics are considered
- Management of dedicated projects (BCM or Operational risks related) the request of the Department Head
Business Continuity:
Regional Coordination and Support:
- Liaise with all ASIAPAC offices, and understanding of their current BCP status; challenge offices on their BCP readiness
- Understand global SG BCP requirements and implement these in the region; provide direction on BCP methodology and provide advice on BCP to all offices
- Provide guidance on preparing for specific disaster scenarios (eg: Pandemics)
- Conduct and /or co-ordinate regional RCSA exercises for BCP
- Answer queries raised by business and support lines regarding their BCP preparation
- Involvement in industry groups to gain knowledge of best practices
- Conduct training, and BCP awareness to small and large groups; conduct regular communication with transversal BCP coordinator in Asia-Pacific
- Involvement in crisis management development and also play a key role in local Crisis Management
Regional and Head Office reporting
- Report regional BCP status to the Regional Management and Head of Department
- Representation on Regional Management committees when required
- Contact point for other departments (Audit, Compliance) for the Regional BCP matters
Participation in Global Projects
- Provide input and advice to Head Office on BCP issues
- Work with the Head Office on BCM framework initiatives and tools
Global BCP testing
- Regional co-ordinatior for BCP tests conducted by Head Office
Miscellaneous
- Involvement in control improvement projects as requested by the Head of Department
- Re-engineering of new methods and procedures, and implementation of these with department heads
Your Profile:
Technical Skills:
- Strong understanding of BCP concepts and lifecycle from a banking perspective: knowledge of BCP tools
- Good understanding of a CIB-type banking business (as opposed to retail banking), products and process
- Knowledge of automated BCP tools is an advantage
- General knowledge of Operational Risks (Base 2 regulations)
Personal Skills:
- Tertiary education
- Leadership skills and crisis management skills; strong lateral thinker to understand likely disaster risks
- Management and project management skills (eg ability to plan, implement and manage); ability to work autonomously
- Ability to work with all levels of management and staff
- Excellent written and oral skills
