EMERGING MARKETS – Foodservice Sales

 

 

Nestlé Professional Vitality a leader in the beverage industry has an immediate opening for a Manager, Regional Business for the West Coast of the United States. It is envisioned that this position will be based in the Los Angeles, CA area.

 

JOB SUMMARY:

 

As the Regional Beverage Manager it is the primary focus of this position to ensure the growth of the Ethnic Channels with Nescafe and Abuelita brands. The ideal candidate must possess strong sales leadership skills to integrate the brands into the local market across Direct Store Delivery (DSD) distributors, Top Ethnic distributors, and operators to obtain established business goals. Success in this position is defined by establishing and maintaining a successful business relationship with the top 10 operators in each of the following channels: Independent Hispanic Supermarkets, Stand-alone Bakeries, Independent C- Stores and Ethnic Foodservice Restaurants (FSR) and Quick Service Restaurants (QSR).

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

 

Business Development

·         Achieve HP Sales target, placement goals, and thru-put per dispenser in order to deliver ROI

·         Sell the core Nestle Professional Vitality Dispensed Beverage Solutions (Hot and Cold) to qualified operators

·         Guide, train, develop, motivate, and coach DSD and Ethnic Distributors

·         Attend key top operator sales calls

 

Sales - Administration

·         Daily Pipeline report supported by sales forecast

·         Review/analyze sales and trade spend reports.

·         Update local projections.

·         Monitor daily sales progress vs. objectives.

·         Develop and maintain account profiles for assigned accounts

·         Provide comprehensive training of product and processes to DSD and Ethnic Distributors

·         Submit Bid proposals for new businesses

 

Distributor Activity

·         Build and maintain relationships with key local DSD and Ethnic distributors

·         Negotiate and execute trade plans.

·         Conduct and attend strategic Ethnic Beverage shows

·         Support and Resolve key distributor problems.

 

JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES:

·         Deliver HP sales number, trade budget and operating budget (controllable expenses).

·         Meet established sales, placement, and thru-put targets

·         Develop strong relationships with distributor management at the top distributors in the region.

·         Develop strong relationships with top operators in the region.

·         Maintain hunter mentality always searching for new customers and opportunities

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS

 

Experience:

Experience in sales required, either beverage and/or coffee related

Hispanic Foodservice industry experience will be a must

 

 

Knowledge, skills and abilities:

 

·         Four year college degree or equivalent

·         2-3 years’ experience selling Beverage products – beverage retail

·         Travel required – 30% overnight

·         Good written and verbal communications

·         Bi-lingual preferred (English – Spanish)

·         Strong planner and multitasking

·         Excellent – computer skills (word, excel and PowerPoint)

·         Able to develop strong customer relations

·         Strong work ethic/self-starter – high level of motivation
