The KPMG ASPAC Regional Delivery Center delivers key global services such as integrated business systems, messaging and collaboration tools to KPMG member firms in the Asia Pacific. The Center also maintains the regional level of security in line with global KPMG policies and procedures and acts as the first point of contact for operational information risk and security related matters.

ASPAC Regional Delivery Centre – Regional Chief Information Officer

The successful candidate will play a significant role in building a regional foundation upon which our business can react quickly to the competitive marketplace and transforming the business orientation to one of excellent service and business value.

The successful candidate will be:

• creating and driving Global IT strategies and direction for the ASPAC region.

• planning and executing global and regional strategies, plans, goals and initiatives.

• managing annual operating and capital budgets and balancing resource constraints to optimize return on regional investments.

• partnering with business stakeholders to analyze immediate and long term needs, define their operational strategy and facilitate its delivery.

• driving innovation and creative solutions to business challenges by staying current with new technologies, platforms and methodologies and maintaining professional contact with information technology providers, professional organizations, and consultants.

• partnering with business stakeholders to analyze immediate and long term needs, define their operational strategy and facilitate its delivery.

• managing a team of effective information technology specialists.

Candidate must also be willing to do extensive regional and moderate global travel.

The ideal candidate should possess:

• a recognised degree preferably in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Business. Master’s degree in business administration is preferred.

• at least 10 years of information technology with a minimum of 5 years in an executive-level technology leadership position. Previous CIO experience at a large financial/professional service organization is preferred.

• strong business acumen with an eye for innovation. Some non-technology related experience such as operations or finance is preferred.

• significant experience operating in a complex, multi-national matrix organization dealing with multiple senior executive level stakeholders.  

• excellent knowledge of ASPAC regional issues with the ability to work with people from many different cultural backgrounds.

• significant experience with large scale business process improvement, change processes, new technologies implementation and service outsourcing.

• experience creating and leading effective teams of information technology specialists. 

• good understanding of the following systems:

-SAP or other major ERP system (Multi country implementation experience would be an advantage)

-Customer Relationship Management (CRM)

-Knowledge Management and Collaborative systems

-Document Management Systems

-Microsoft SharePoint and SQL databases

• excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to explain complex technology issues.
