Our client is a globally recognised US brand name that manufactures, sells and markets beauty products, healthcare ranges and cosmetics.  With new products launched on a continual basis, they offer a wide range of beauty goods to the market, reaching consumers in every corner of the globe.   Asia Pacific is their key region of focus for expansion purposes and as a result they are now looking to strengthen their compliance function with a strong executive to lead all initiatives for the region.

Reporting directly to the Group Legal Counsel, your role will be integral to work with all members of the senior management team across the region and with group headquarters.  You will support the formulation of all new corporate compliance policies and devise initiatives to implement and execute across the region.  Working with the country management teams you will look at codes of conduct and ethics and lead a small team across the region to cascade the right message throughout the organisation.  You will also roll out best practice programs and change the mentality of staff to consistently adopt the highest level of integrity throughout all their operations within the business. Working closely with the finance function, you will look to strengthen the financial and operational controls environment and embed anti-corruption, FCPA and UK Bribery policies throughout all business actions.  This is a unique role to work at a strategic level to understand the corporate objectives and transform how overall business is conducted in the region and minimise risk and exposure across all practices.

Suitable candidates will be qualified professionals with proven experience in a similar capacity for a minimum of 12-15 years of their career.  You will have exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, be able to work across multi-cultures and have a strong ability to influence and gain buy-in from people across all levels of the organisation.  You will naturally have an inquisitive mind and a diplomatic nature for conflict resolution and a creative ability to train and gain acceptance when rolling out new policies and procedures.  In addition, you will have proven leadership skills and a strong technical understanding of FCPA, internal controls and compliance regulations.  Previous experience of working in a consumer products or FMCG industry in Asia Pacific is a distinct advantage, as is Mandarin and Cantonese language skills together with fluency in English.  Flexibility to travel across the region will be essential in this role.
