Job Description

This role will provide compliance and regulatory advisory on an ongoing basis for the business and associated support functions. The candidate will partner closely with location compliance across the region and seek to ensure consistency of approach and coverage both regionally and globally. The position includes evaluating compliance with relevant regulations, issue identification, assessing the impact of regulatory change and working with business management to build and maintain control mechanisms to remain in compliance with laws and regulations and to protect the reputation and franchise of the business. This role will also be responsible for managing and coordinating various regional and global compliance initiatives, which will provide opportunities for exposure and leadership in Compliance and the business. Other aspects of the role include regulatory risk assessments, establishment of policies, developing and performing training and communication activities to facilitate compliance awareness of the business partners. There will also be responsibility for supporting business partners with client related activities, for example delivery of training and some external client engagement. The role does not have direct staff management responsibility, however does provide the candidate with varied exposure across our region and globally.

The Successful Applicant

•  Minimum 5-7 years regulatory or risk management experience gained within a financial institution, professional firm or regulator.

•  Demonstrable experience conducting compliance risk assessments.

•  Strong interpersonal and influencing skills, with the ability to establish credibility and strong partnership with compliance and business partners

•  Strong analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills and the ability to manage several simultaneous projects

•  Preferably good Treasury product knowledge.

•  Knowledge or experience of relevant broad regulatory concepts and their practical application in operational process or product features.

•  Excellent business judgment and strategic thinking

•  Proven ability to communicate effectively in English at all levels both orally and in writing,

•  Self starter and strongly motivated to achieve higher standards over time

•  Ability to deliver high quality results as part of a geographically dispersed regional and global compliance team
