Regional Construction Manager
Pepco Energy Services, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Pepco Holdings, Inc. (PHI) is a rapidly growing provider of energy saving solutions such as, Energy Performance Contracting, Thermal Energy Solutions, Electricity Generation and Renewable Energy. We partner with industrial, commercial, educational, health care, and local, state and federal governments to reduce their energy consumption and expenses. We are currently seeking a Regional Construction Manager for the Mid-Atlantic region.
PRIMARY DUTIES RESPONSIBILITIES
· Establish and maintain corporate construction offices 100 miles or more outside of Arlington, Virginia in the Mid - Atlantic States
· Manage multiple large projects including participating in the design process, bidding work with subcontractors, and developing and managing subcontracts through construction and commissioning while meeting budgets and schedules
· Ensure that the projects meet long-term energy performance guarantees
· Develop constructive relationships with subcontractors, suppliers and customers
· Develop and lead effective teams
· Support the Vice President of Construction’s corporate objectives including development of procedures and practices consistent with the construction industry
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
· Associate’s degree or Bachelor’s degree with emphasis in technology or commensurate progressive experience in energy services contracting preferred
· 7 to 10 years progressively responsible experience in the project/construction management of design, build energy performance projects from $500,000 to $5,000,000.
· Contracting experience with local, state, federal government, K-12 educational facilities and large academic institutions preferred.
· Knowledge and experience with energy audits, energy conservation technologies involving lighting, water, HVAC, building envelope, measurement and verification, etc. required
· Proficiency with MS Project and MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
· Valid driver's license required
· Ability to work off-hours and extended hours, as conditions dictate.
· Willingness and ability to travel for projects in the mid-Atlantic states and beyond when required.
