Regional Corporate Development & Partnerships Manager recruitment
The Regional Corporate Development Partnerships Manager will report directly to the Regional Head, Corporate Develpment Partnerships and the Regional Chief Strategy Officer indirectly.
Main Purpose of Job:
- Assist in the development and management of AXA Asia's inorganic growth strategy
- Investigate, recommend and facilitate MA and divestment opportunities including business and financial analysis of companies of strategic importance, preparing pitching documents to potential targets, drafting Board approvals and updates to senior management, and liaising with countries for data and deliverables.
- Assess attractiveness of potential markets / concepts and formulate entry strategies
- Support the management of MA, divestment and scale-building distribution processes, including helping the coordination with Paris local resources to ensure adherence to group governance requirements.
Key Accountabilities:
- Lead analysis of market competitors and opportunities based on research.
- Indepth financial, strategic and operational analysis of targets
- Conduct in-depth financial analyses to establish viability of business opportunities (either new opportunities or corporate restructuring of existing operations).
- Conduct research, gather information about markets / partners / potential acquisitions, and coordinate information provided by internal partners such as business development team.
- Contribute to the development of financial assumptions used in valuation models.
- Apply valuation models and other analyses to determine whether financial criteria are met. Test models under different assumptions to determine financial consequences of risks inherent in business opportunities.
- Preparation of AXA credentials marketing docs to support business development
- Maintenance of board and management reporting on projects
- Arrange regular steering committee meetings with key stakeholders.
- Prepare discussion pack for progress update and decision making
- Project management and tracking of financial, legal and operational due diligence process
- Coordinate reports from external advisers
- Identify issues raised in due diligence for action.
- Assist in preparation of project budget, project team structure and internal communication pack before commencement of project
- Execution/completion of signed corporate development opportunities
Experience Qualifications:
- Minimum 7 years experience in financial services industry or management consulting
- Tertiary education in Business/Financial Planning/Financial Services
- Regional exposure preferred
- Research and analysis experience and business development and/or M A exposure
- Life insurance and/or wealth management knowledge an advantage
Personal requirements
- Ability to function well in a small, highly qualified group
- Experience in research and financial modeling
- Excellent communication and presentation skills required, particularly written
- Excellent analytical and numerical skills
- Ability to develop and build relationships, both internally and externally
- Ability to function unsupervised and demonstrate initiative
- Prepared to work in a transactional environment requiring high workload in order to meet tight deadlines
- High attention to detail
- English + 1 other Asian languages a preference.
