Regional Director – Business Development – Financial Adviser Services ( Investment Management ) recruitment

Position:

The objective of this role, which reports to the Head of Dimensional’s Financial Adviser business, is to help broaden and deepen the company’s relationships within the fee-based financial adviser community, by using a consultative sales and service process.  The primary function will be educating financial adviser prospects and clients on Modern Portfolio Theory, Dimensional’s investment philosophy, and adviser best practices. The best candidate will be one who can communicate complex ideas effectively and enjoys developing strong relationships with clients.

Responsibilities:

• Handle direct client interaction as directed by the Head of Financial Adviser Services

• Assist advisers in developing their understanding of capital market research and of its application to portfolio management

• Construct portfolio analysis and regression analysis presentations for financial adviser clients

• Train financial advisers in asset allocation and portfolio construction using proprietary software

• Consult with advisers on practice management issues

Qualifications:

• MBA, or equivalent qualification and/or experience (e.g. CFA)

• 10-15 years financial services / investment experience

• Business Development focus and experience

• Client and Marketing expertise

• Proactive desire to learn

• Strong analytical skills and quantitative problem-solving skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Detail-oriented

• Able to work equally well in a team environment and independently

• Self-starter who is capable of managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines

• Strong computer skills with the ability to learn programs as needed
