About the Role:
REGIONAL FINANCIAL REPORTING
Group Financial Reporting
- Coordinate and review all group financial reporting (Half Year Full Year) to ensure timeliness and accuracy of local business unit submissions, and compliance with Group/IFRS standards
Regional Financial Reporting
- Develop regional financial reporting to provide essential management information, including monthly aggregated balance sheet, PL and net flows
External Audit
- Manage the external audit process across the region, ensuring all issues are proactively managed and reported as appropriate to Senior Management, liaising with internal stakeholders as necessary
Projects
- Provide necessary finance support to MA transactions, business start-ups and other project activity
REGIONAL FINANCIAL CONTROL (SoX)
Accounting Policy
- Develop appropriate internal governance arrangements for the approval of regional accounting policies, ensuring compliance across the region and with Group/IFRS standards
Technical Accounting
- Build the technical accounting capability in the regional office and across local business units
Internal Financial Control Framework
- Develop a robust internal financial control framework, that is in alignment with Group/Regional standards/policies
SoX
- Manage the regional SoX process and centralized team, ensuring delivery across the region within the reporting deadlines
SYSTEMS
Regional Finance Systems Strategy
- Working with relevant internal stakeholders, develop a clear financial systems strategy that fully addresses the future financial reporting, management information and planning needs
Regional Finance Systems Transformation Project
- Oversee the implementation of the finance systems transformation project across the region
Group Reporting Systems
- Organize the implementation and development of any group reporting systems
System Development Maintenance
- Continue to seek efficiencies in the development and maintenance of all finance systems, both current future
