Regional Director, Freight Rail
Job Description AECOM currently has an opportunity for a Midwest Director Freight Rail to join the growing team of professionals in our Transportation Rail Group. In this role, you will expand AECOM's successful Freight Rail business in the Mid-West Region, by managing clients, business development efforts and team production. The position will be located in Chicago. General duties include: * Act as a Director within AECOM's Midwest Freight Rail Group managing all aspects of projects and client relationships * Build on relationships with Class I Railway clients * Leading winning proposals in the Class I RR market for engineering and CM services * Manage successful project delivery budgets * Provide leadership and mentoring to the Freight Rail Group * Collaborate with other Freight Rail leaders in the other Regions in North America * Liaise with other Transportation staff in the Mid-West Region * Report to VP-Director, Freight Rail, Americas Requirements: * Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering is preferred * Minimum of 15 years design experience * Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in delivering railway infrastructure projects; with an emphasis on track/grading/drainage as well as structures. * Understanding of Railway operations and maintenance, planning, design, tender and construction. * Proven ability to lead people and manage teams, with ability to identify, develop and retain key stafff What We Offer AECOM employees around the world enjoy a wide range of benefits and competitive compensation package.
