Job Summary:

 

Responsible for developing, improving and promoting the core values, competitive position and profitable growth of HighMark and managed accounts in your region. This position is responsible for achieving high client retention rates by providing our clients a valuable service offering, competitive investment performance and access to their trusted advisor. Must be a strong portfolio manager and conduct client and partner presentations and meetings on the firm's investment strategy, account performance and new products.

 

Major Responsibilities:

 

Portfolio Management and Client Service (30%):

Manage individual, trust and institutional accounts and investment relationships consistent with the client's established investment policies while utilizing HighMark's investment philosophy. Must be able to construct a portfolio and develop investment policies that maximize portfolio performance consistent with the client's investment objectives and acceptable level of risk. Develop new and deepen existing client relationships.  Strong focus on supporting Portfolio Managers with managing their clients' accounts and achieve high levels of retention to meet HCA's annual growth objectives. Promote the role of trusted advisor and be able to resolve complex client issues.

 

Asset and Client Growth (30%):  

Responsible for all growth goals and sales results of IMT managed accounts within your region. Included in this responsibility is ensuring that HCA is growing and retaining its AUM and clients by supporting our multiple and complex distribution partners including Wealth Markets, US Bank, and UBIS. Work with each partner to ensure continued support of their new business development needs including sales presentations, marketing support, and Portfolio Managers delivering as promised.

 

Leadership and Business Operations (30%):  

Main responsibility is for the execution of HCA's strategic direction and operating plan within your region. Lead and work with other senior members of the Bank's Wealth Markets to help shape your region's strategic focus on selling managed accounts. Participate actively and guide internal staff to help maintain the group's historically collaborative culture and keep HCA as a leader among its partners. As a respected leader, recruit new talent and direct the existing staff toward the optimal synergy to further their ability to grow. Coach and mentor team members, as well as develop leadership talent within the group. Keep informed of developments in investment business to arrive at sound and timely business decisions.

 

Risk Management (10%):

Actively ensure compliance with the Bank's Code of Ethics, Anti-Money Laundering, Bank Secrecy Act, information security and suspicious activity reporting requirements, policies and procedures. Participate in all required corporate and business line training.  Understand and follow all operating procedures and internal suspicious activity referral requirements and processes, as required for this position. Responsible for all Fiduciary and SEC compliance responsibilities within your region.
