Contact: Not Available Phone: Not Available Fax: Not Available Ref ID: Not Available Visit Us www.spherion.com Regional Director of Quality Assurance Report It Job Description: Regional Director of Quality Assurance The general purpose of the Regional Director of Quality Assurance is to work with the facilities Director of Nursing and Administrators in providing direction, overseeing and assuring that all nursing services are managed in accordance with and do operate within the guidelines of the company policies and procedures, current federal, state, and local standards governing long-term care facilities; that the highest degree of quality care is provided to all residents at all times; that approved guidelines, policies, procedures and forms are adhered to and that compliance to labor laws and maintenance of a safe, professional, compassionate and positive work atmosphere for all employees. Essential Job Functions: Work with the facilities Director of Nursing and Administrators to plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, and direct facility Nursing Services, its programs and activities. Ensure that nursing department manuals are maintained and kept current. Train new nursing staff and implement corporate systems to ensure that all facility nursing departments operate in a consistent manner. Ensure regulatory compliance with federal and state regulations. Assist with Personnel and Staff Development Functions. Develop, Implement, and maintain a quality assurance program. Participate in interviewing and screening residents for admission to facility when needed. Conduct nursing visits and general/specific audits and reviews per the approved corporate visit checklist, as assigned. Know and comply with Residents Rights Rules. Assist with Care Plan and Assessment Functions. Assist with Planning and Inventory Functions. Assist with Safety and Sanitation Functions. Job Requirements: Qualifications: Must Be A Registered Nurse in good standing and currently licensed by the State of Alabama or in training to satisfactorily complete the requirements to become a Registered Nurse. Must have at least 5 years experience in a hospital, long-term care facility or other healthcare related facility. Must possess strong communication and organizational skills, be detail oriented, and have excellent patient care and nursing standards. Must be knowledgeable of general, rehabilitative and restorative nursing and medical practices and procedures and laws, regulations and guidelines governing long-term care. Positive Attitude toward the elderly. Must have experience with Microsoft Office Products.
