Job Description Requirements (Beijing):
• Will be able to influence the strategic direction for a leading global investment fund.
• Will be based in Beijing and will work closely with the Singapore’s team.
• 5 – 8 years of relevant work experience.
• Experience in economic policy and capital markets research, or portfolio management preferred.
• Prior experience within state agencies would be valuable.
• Possess a good understanding and preferably practical working knowledge of the political economy in China.
• Good Honours degree preferably in Business, Economics, Finance and/or Statistics from a reputable university
• CFA holder is an advantage.
• Fluent in both English and Chinese.
Job Description Requirements (Hong Kong)
Responsibilities:
- Conduct extensive macro-economic data research and analysis to formulate an economic opinion of each country on a relative and absolute basis for asset allocation.
- Provide macro-economic forecast focus on the Asian region and define global strategic direction.
- Develop a clear framework for analysis based on key economic indicators such as monetary policy, business cycle and risk aversion etc.
- Prepare presentation to represent the view taken for clients, relationship manager and salesperson to outline and support economic views taken in Asia.
Requirements:
- Minimum 7 years of experience as an Asian economist either on the buy or sell side
- Good understanding of the main Asian economies from a ground up basis
- Analyze market and economic data from sell side economists and create economic view with support.
- An advanced degree in economics, finance, or business discipline
- Excellent communication skills
- Fluent English as well as in an Asian language.
