UGL Services Unicco Operations has an immediate opening for a Regional Electrical Instrumentation Manager.

SUMMARY OF DUTIES:

Team member must be able to work in a team oriented and safety conscious environment.  “Safety First” expectations include, but are not limited to, PJHA process, Observation process, and compliance with all company / site safety guidelines and procedures.  This position will provide EI Leadership and Support to all UGL Unicco customer locations.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1.       Ensure all safety aspects, i.e. NFPA70E, are standardized and consistent at all locations.  Interface with UGL Unicco Regional Safety Manager to ensure annual training includes all necessary safety training for this group.

2.       Ensure all locations have employee development plans for the EI group that addresses site requirements and also promotes license and certification driven training subject matter and validation.

3.       Support UGL Unicco Site Account Managers and engage with  UGL Unicco Site EI Supervision to ensure that each UGL Unicco Site EI Supervisor has an individual employee development plan that supports the needs of the site and the group.

4.       Develop close business relationships with business unit level and site customers to ensure we keep open lines of communications and ensure that expectations are being met.

5.       Ensure that all sites have a close working relationship with the predictive partner (Allied), and that the technologies are understood and utilized to improve our overall service to the customer.

6.       Ensure EI technicians at all locations are following precision maintenance standards and philosophies to include, but not limited to, application of proper torques to electrical connections, testing procedures followed and documented, instrument calibrations followed and documented, troubleshooting and corrective actions documented, sharing lessons learned across all locations, and providing quality feedback on work orders as part of the continuous in the planning process.

7.       Implement audit and rework processes at all locations. 

8.       Lead and develop RCA facilitators at all locations.  Review RCA actions as part of site visits.

9.       Develop and implement strategies that encourage craftsman to learn about new equipment, technologies and troubleshooting methods.

10.    Develop and implement strategies that ensures all craft work meets industry standards, client’s standards and UGL Unicco’s standards for quality and professional installations/repair.

11.    Develop strategies to grow the capabilities of the EI business.

 

OTHER ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS / DUTIES:

1.       Create site visit reports and keep action register updated on a regular basis.

2.       Maintain membership in electrical and instrumentation associations.

3.       Act to support major site outages with on site support and input on work scope / planning prior to outages.

4.       Maintain up to date BLS and local wage survey results to ensure we are competitive within each site market.

5.       Perform all other position related tasks assigned by Director of Operations.

6.       Must maintain positive customer and employee relations.

 

PERFORMANCE GOALS:

Goals to be listed as part of annual performance appraisals and forward planning goals. 

 

JOB RELATIONS:

This position will report to the Director of Operations, work closely with the customer’s Corporate and Site Level AEI Leadership, and support site level Unicco Account  Manager(s), other key customer personnel, and vendors.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1.       Education:  Minimum qualification: Associates Degree in Industrial Maintenance, Engineering, or Management.  BS Degree in Industrial Maintenance, Engineering, or Management is preferred, but not required.

2.       Experience: Possess a minimum of five years experience in Maintenance Management, with experience in EI Supervision, EI Technician,  Planning / Scheduling, and estimating preferred.

3.       Accreditation: Membership and demonstrated active participation in industry related professional organizations (SMRP, ISA, IFMA, etc.) with applicable professional certification is desired.

4.       Computer Skills: Demonstrated proficiency in creating and working with documents in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Office environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
