We are currently seeking a highly motivated Regional Field Service Engineer for the West coast region of North America.
Duties:
- Provide on-site customer visits for installation, repair, and preventive maintenance service as directed by the Service Manager on all products manufactured and distributed by company.
- Prepare detailed field service and customer contact reports on all customer calls, initiate and carry out necessary actions to resolve any open issues with the customer.
- Provide timely distribution of service and expense reports and maintain accurate files for all service related activities.
- Provide product performance advisory reports based on experience or customer feedback that will correct or enhance product design and function.
- Responsible for maintaining physical accuracy of all inventory assigned. In addition, is responsible for ensuring Field Service Reports reflect proper inventory transactions. Inventory includes all replacement parts, tools, and test equipment
- Assist manufacturing and product development as required. These duties may consist of final assembly and test, calibration, field testing of new products, modifications, or upgrades.
- Assist sales department as required. Such duties will include: assistance and coordination of trade shows, demo’s and customer training.
- Use good judgment in the use of Company funds to ensure that all money spent is in keeping with Company Policy and Procedures and in the best interest of the Company. Adhere to Company expense guideline concerning the use of expense accounts.
Required Skill Sets:
- Proficient knowledge of electronics, including troubleshooting/repair to the component level.
- Must have a good understanding of computer technology
- Should have a good mechanical aptitude. Vacuum experience is a plus.
- Effective territory management to promote regional growth.
- Training Customers: must be able to speak effectively with small groups.
- Demonstrated organizational skills, planning, attention to detail, and safety culture.
Requirements:
- Minimum of Associates in Electronics Technology or equivalent
- Extensive Travel Required throughout U.S.; with some International Travel
- Must have a good understanding of computer technology
- Must be able to read schematics and have a good understanding of electronics.
- Should have a good mechanical aptitude.
- Training Customers: must be able to speak effectively with small groups.
- Must have a professional appearance.
