Our client is a leading boutique investment bank. Due to the business growth in the region, they are hiring a high calibre, experienced Regional Financial Control Manager (VP/AVP) to join the organisation.
Reporting to the Regional Head of Finance, this role will be responsible for the group reporting accounting control for the 15 entities within the Asia Pacific region. You will perform and review financial statement variance analysis, monthly closing commentary, quality control on adjustment by location and offshore production hub. You will also monitor the monthly accounting close process with various shared service departments (i.e. product control, operations, HR, etc). In addition, you will provide professional expertise on IFRS or relevant regulations updates upon business queries. In order to strengthen the control to the organization, you will help implement global control framework, steer and follow up on Operational Risk items and provide necessary professional and constructive recommendations.
To qualify, individuals must possess:
- University graduate major in Accounting or Finance and a full professional CPA qualification
- 5 to 10 years' relevant experience in regional reporting and/or regional finance control within investment banks or financial services sector
- Previous Big 4 audit experience is preferred
- Critical and strong analytical mind on control function
- Prior experience in working in a regional office is a Must
- Ability to build trust and rapport with all levels of the organisation, including ability to communicate and influence senior management
- Complete fluency in both English and Cantonese, spoken and written
