Regional Finance Manager recruitment
International Insurer is seeking a seasoned finance professional to join their highly qualified regional team. This newly created role will encompass financial planning and analysis, management reporting and ad project work related to IFRS.
Key responsibilities:
- Support the development of strategic agenda and priorities for the business
- Provide opinions on the feasibility of the plan submitted by business units, and its consistency with broad management objectives
- Review country plan data and address issues, follow up with country controllers and other regional functions to resolve identified problem
- Support the development of the Regional Business Plan
- Consolidate and review quarterly country submissions, drill down to the underlying business drivers and provide senior management with in depth analysis of the business performance.
- Monitor performance indicators, highlighting trends and analysing causes of unexpected variance.
- Produce a monthly Financial Management Report for the board well as consolidated regional monthly performance pack.
- Proactively look for better ways to provide the information through improved analysis or reporting process
- Provide functional support to key systems developments initiatives
Requirements:
- Bachelor degree in accounting, finance or equivalent and MBA preferred, with a relevant professional qualification in Accounting
- Minimum 6 years relevant experience in financial planning and analysis and / or management reporting experience gained from the Financial Services sector. Candidates with audit experience are also considered.
- Regional experience in Life or Financial Service industry as well as knowledge of IFRS
- Detail-orientated with strong financial analytics (including monitoring, analysis and reporting performance) and comfortable handling large volumes of data
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal in English
- Flexibility and ability to multi-task and prioritise to deliver on time
- Proficient in the use of Excel, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint
