Regional Financial Controller – Insurance Industry recruitment

Key responsibilities include the following:

Review, analyze, interpret and prepare consolidated financial results, forecasts and commentary to management, Regional Office and Corporate
Participate in business strategy formulation and planning and interpret and prepare consolidated medium term outlook, target setting and business plan
Ensure sound financial control, risk management, governance and compliance in ASEAN territories
Assist business unit finance teams across ASEAN in meeting regional and corporate deliverables on a timely basis, including:
Design and review of accounting models
Analysis of sales, earnings, expenses, other financial and business results and trends
Preparation of clear and concise explanation of business drivers
Instruct business unit personnel regarding regional and corporate requirements
Investigate, support and challenge business development opportunities as required ensuring its financial integrity.
Prepare ad hoc financial reports and analysis for Regional and Corporate users
Manage and prioritize ASEAN and regional projects.

Requirements:

You should have a Degree in Accounting with 8 - 12 years of accounting experience, of which, 6 years in insurance, financial services and management position.
A qualified accountant or a CPA.
Dynamic and proactive, leadership qualities with an analytical mind.
Good organizational skills with ability to multi task, work under tight deadlines and manage matrix relationships across several territories.
Business knowledge and management experience of insurance industry. Ability to influence and network up and across the company.
Cultural sensitivity and ability to work collaboratively in various cultures.
Good communication skills and ability to work with individuals whose native language is not English.
Team player and ability to work independently.
Corporate planning, financial reporting experience and knowledge of CGAAP a plus.
