Regional Financial Controller recruitment
CLS Communication is one of the largest language services providers in the world with 20 offices in Europe, Asia and North America. In Asia, we have a presence in Singapore, Hong Kong, Shanghai, and Beijing, with further expansion planned over the coming 12 months.
CLS Communication's core business is translating, writing and editing for the banking and finance, insurance, telecommunications, life sciences and legal industries. Over 600 in-house and 3,000 external language experts write, edit and translate texts in any language. The latest technology ensures the highest levels of security and confidentiality.
The Role
- Oversee and coordinate CLS’ accounting functions in Asia
- Direct implementation of accounting policies procedures of the Group in the region
- Ensure monthly reporting according to Group time schedules
- Work closely with and supervise external accountants auditors
- Ensure timely payment of debtors and invoicing of creditors
- Ensure financial planning, budgeting liquidity management
- Perform variance analysis between actual, budgets, forecasts
- Generate proposals and action plans to improve operational efficiency
- Ensure legal and tax compliance; review client contracts from sales team
- Manage general administration and facility management
- Member of CLS’s Asia Management Team and HR Committee
- Support of senior management in MA activities
- Close collaboration with CEO Asia Pacific and Group CFO.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- University degree in Finance, Accounting or equivalent
- MBA preferred
- Audit experience preferred
- Proven experience in successfully managing cross-border teams
- Previous experience in a similar role with an international company
- Fluent in English and Mandarin required (Cantonese an asset)
