Regional Head of Chartering – Dry Bulk recruitment
A world leading commodity trading firm with a strong global footprint and an enviable brand is currently seeking a suitably qualified and experienced Dry Bulk Chartering specialist to join their shipping operations team to be responsible for all aspects of the Firm’s ocean freight operations in the APAC region.
Reporting to the Global Head of Ocean Freight you will use your strong experience with ocean freight operations to take full operational and PL responsibility for; pricing, chartering, operations, business development, research and execution. You will leverage off the Firm’s strong and established trading business and diverse product offerings to provide value adding and tailored solutions for the business.

In order to be considered for this role you will have:
- Minimum 10 years of chartering experience (dry bulk, multiple vessel sizes)
- Proven PL management experience
- Strong and diverse contact network across the APAC region
- Solid people management ability
- Proven experience managing 100+ vessels
- Entrepreneurial mindset
- Highly developed communication skills (English mandatory, and preferably Mandarin and/or another Asian language)
- Ability to travel throughout the region frequently
