Regional Head of Compliance for general insurance MNC recruitment
- Role is regional covering 14 countries in SEA, AUS, NZ
- Hands-on regional compliance experience required
- FI sector required (insurance industry exposure not mandatory)
Our client is an international and renowned general insurance MNC. It is now looking to hire a seasoned Head of Compliance based in its regional HQ in SG.
For this role, you will report to the Head of Compliance in HQ with a dotted line reporting to the regional COO. You will manage the compliance function throughout the region and ensuring the following function requirements are delivered and met:
- Advising senior management and other staff of their local regulatory obligations, Corporate Compliance policies, Operational Standards and assisting such persons in the achievement of compliance with those obligations/ policies through the effecting of appropriate systems, processes and controls;
- Monitoring/assessing a) the adequacy and effectiveness of the systems, processes and controls for the achievement of compliance with local regulatory obligations, Corporate Compliance policies, and Operational Standards b) whether those local policies/standards are being met; and
- Report the output of the monitoring in accordance with the relevant reporting requirements/ procedures, present the overall consolidated level of compliance, and detail the non-compliance issues, the causes of the violations, the proposed remedial actions to APAC senior management and corporate compliance through regular Regional Assurance Forums and the Regional Compliance Committee and Audit Committee.
To qualify, you should possess the following:
- Degree qualified with minimum 5 years of regional compliance exp gained in the FI sector (banking/ asset mgt/ insurance). Hands-on general insurance industry is not mandatory for the role
- Good regional exposure covering Asia
- Open to travel across the region
- Strong leadership skills
- Strong presentation and communication skills.
