Our client is a major global bank with a well-established network in the region and strong financial performance. It is looking to recruit a dynamic Regional Head of Derivatives Settlements and Brokerage Services Asia.
You will manage a large team responsible for derivatives settlement and brokerage processing in the Asia region. You will provide thought leadership to the team, set team’s objectives, drive performance, track capacity and efficiency, and ensure all business demands are met. You will ensure smooth day to day operations and all control checks are adhered. You will ensure operational risk controls and represent the function in central bank, internal and external audits and business meetings involving other departments, project working group, new product group committee. You will ensure all controls including authorization limits are checked and ensure all escalated breaks are being investigated and resolved in a timely manner. You will design and approve new process or process changes when on boarding of new product or system. You will build close working relationship between the Singapore team and other operating hubs. You will participate or lead the delivery of strategic projects.
You will have relevant years of derivatives settlement / middle office and brokerage processing experience in OTC derivatives (including credit, rates and forex) gained in a major bank. You will have the strength of character to interact with senior management and the business, possess strong communication and relationship building skills, and be commercial in your approach. You will have good working knowledge in change management, process improvement cost control. A team player with strong supervisory skills, you possess good influencing presentation skills.
