Our client is a global Insurance Group with a fast-growing Life Non-Life Insurance business in Asia. To further facilitate the needs for detailed / in depth management information and financial analysis, an outstanding opportunity has arisen for an experienced Financial Controller to join the Regional Financial Reporting MI team based in Hong Kong.
Reporting to the Regional CFO, you will manage a team of experienced Finance professionals on Financial Reporting, Business Analysis, Performance Reporting and MIS. Your team will cover the financial information for both Life and Non-Life businesses in the Asia region and be responsible for group reporting, periodic financial closing, technical accounting support, performance reporting and analysis as well as the finance system related works. As a regional leader, you will drive the team to work as a close partner to the local entities and finance teams to improve local capabilities and qualities around reporting, analysis, processes and controls. You will proactively communicate with business stakeholders and the management team in the region and head office on financial results, commentaries and provide assistance on investor relations activities related to financial information.
To qualify, individuals must possess:
- A university degree and a professional accounting or actuarial qualification
- Minimum 12-15+ years relevant financial control, financial information and / or management reporting experience
- Experience from the Insurance industry is a must, preference will be from the Life Insurance sector
- Other experience gained from a listed company with regional coverage would be advantageous
- Working experience in Asia would be beneficial
- Excellent communication skills with fluency in English
