Regional Head of Group Liquidity Risk, SE Asia recruitment
The successful candidate will lead liquidity and market risk teams across the region directly and via a wider matrix. This is growing business and you will enjoy strong autonomy from the outset. Travel requirements will not be extensive.
Responsibilities will include :
- Liaising with key business stakeholders at all levels in response to Liquidity, Market and Trading Risk exposure and limits. This will include the wider Risk Committee and ALCO
- Ensure that market an short term liquidity risk policies and limit monitoring systems are fully implemented within the region
- Ensure that market and short term liquidity risk measurement methodologies are fit for purpose, comprehensive and implemented effectively
- Enhance risk measures and transparency
- Support Country Risk Managers on key deliverables
- Establish and maintain control framework to ensure compliance with internal policies, procedures, CAD2 requirements, code of conducts and applicable external laws and regulations
- Ensure that there are appropriate and documented internal controls and procedures in place. Monitor the operation of such procedures and controls and regularly review them to ensure that they reflect in any changes in products, system, policy and regulations
- Maintain appropriate relationships with Regulators and Rating agencies and liaise with internal/ external auditors
Skills Required :
- Liquidity, Market and applicable Trading Risk experience from the corporate or investment banking sector is essential
- Strong understanding and application of Liquidity, Market and Trading Risk methodologies
- Good understanding of Trading, Balance Sheet Management and Risk Management system platforms
- Excellent analytical skills are essential
- Degree level or equivalent within a numerate, quantitative discipline
