Regional Head of Operational Risk recruitment
Responsibilities:
• Oversight of group level risks, business lines and support functions
• Work closely with business and functional heads in providing risk advisory on new business/ products or potential business acquisitions
• Drive the development, implementation, management and monitoring of Operational Risk framework and infrastructure across the Bank
• Ensure effective management across all risk categories/ classes and appropriate governance across all risk categories
• Constant liaison and management with key regulators across Asia
• Drive a strong risk aware culture in the business and across the Bank; suggest and implement improvements to the risk management framework in the business
• Drive the delivery of enhanced value from risk management including decision making; aligning to risk appetite measures and tolerances and risk quantifications
• Coverage: New Products/ Business Approvals, Operational Risk Management Tools; Methodology Techniques, Corporate Governance, Operational Risk Reporting, Projects etc
• Participant in regional and global projects and work closely with the Regional and Global teams in promoting a strong risk culture
Requirements
• At least 15 years of relevant experience in Operational Risk Management/ Control, Risk Advisory and/or Internal Control gained with the reputable financial institutions
• Solid knowledge in Investment Banking, Capital Markets/ Financial Markets, Security Brokerage is a must; candidates with sound business knowledge in Private Banking and/or Asset Management is good to have
• Open to candidates from a Risk Advisory/ Consulting background servicing the financial services clients
• Previous regional experience (Asia) is a must and familiar with the relevant jurisdictions
• Experienced in leading a team coupled with strong relationship and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to facilitate and lead discussions within and among units/ businesses to identify/ escalate/ resolve risk exposures
• Understanding of complex transaction structures, with experience in reviewing and assessing key transactions
• Outstanding communication, interpersonal and presentation skills; articulate and succinct communication skills both verbally and in writing
• Strong organizational skills with sound judgment
• Mature and balanced personality with the ability to manage high level and often complex client relationships
• Comfortable working in a highly collaborative, learning and growing environment.
• Fluency in English is must
