Regional Head of Payroll – Vice President recruitment

As the regional payroll lead for Asia Pac including Japan you will oversee, coordinate and manage payroll operations - you will be responsible for daily regional payroll operations to ensure optimum effectiveness and efficiency of vendor services and to assist in strategic planning of regional payroll goals and objectives

In this role you will be responsible for the auditing of monthly payrolls for c2000 employees in eight Asian countries for this large asset manager.  Review and update necessary controls to ensure no unauthorized monies are being paid out; no critical control failures on audits.  Review monthly payroll metrics to identify areas requiring improvements; proactively discuss and develop action plans

Prior experience in vendor management and project implementation ie Manage vendor in day-to-day issues during implementation of APAC payrolls and update/escalate payroll performance delivery issues requiring vendors resolution

Qualifications/Work Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance related field strongly preferred

• Experience/knowledge in an Asian multi-currency Payroll department

• Experience/Knowledge of Australian payroll highly desired

• Previous project/system implementation work experience an advantage

• Excellent PC Skills: Outlook, Excel, Word and Access

• Effective written and verbal communication skills
