REGIONAL HR DIRECTOR - GROWING HUMAN SERVICES ORGANIZATION

 

NeuroRestorative is a leading provider of post-acute rehabilitation services for people of all ages with brain and spinal cord injuries and other neurological challenges. In a variety of locations and settings, we offer a continuum of care and rehabilitation options, including specialized services for children, adolescents, and active duty service members and Veterans. NeuroRestorative is a partner of The MENTOR Network, a national network of local human services providers offering quality, community-based services to adults and children with intellectual and developmental disabilities, brain and spinal cord injuries and other catastrophic injuries and illnesses, and to youth with emotional, behavioral and medically complex challenges as well as their families. 

 

OPPORTUNITY

As NeuroRestorative and The MENTOR Network continue to evolve and grow new opportunities like this become available . This is a matrixed role reporting directly to the NeuroRestorative VP of HR but supporting the VP of Southeastern regional operations on a day-today basis. This is a newly created HR Leadership position and a wonderful opportunity to make your mark and help strategically advance the HR support function. This position is located in our administrative office in Tampa which provides support to our program locations throughout the state of Florida including Sarasota, Jacksonville, Lutz, Brandon and Orlando.  The business office is home to a variety of staff including our operations leadership and those who provide administrative support. 

 

The primary role of the Regional Director, Human Resources is to partner with the Executive Director and/or Vice President, Operations and other members of the leadership team to plan, develop, and lead our HR initiatives in a strategic, dynamic and consultative manner as well as to support and empower our regional business group’s business goals and objectives. Directs and supervises from six to seven HR professionals in different locations statewide including Human Resources Managers, Generalists and HR Administrators/Coordinators. Duties and responsibilities include conduct performance evaluations, scheduling, orientation, and training.  You will also make recommendations on employee hires, transfers, promotions, salary changes, discipline, terminations, and similar actions in addition to resolving employee problems within position responsibilities.

 

Some general functions and initiatives include (but are not limited to)… day-to-day 

·         Lead and direct the regional HR function for the delivery of effective human resources services such as employment, employee relations, training and development, and performance management and coaching to the regional business group.

·         Organize, plan, develop, and direct the implementation and administration of human resources activities for the regional group and carry out policies and procedures relating to all phases of HR activities that support the regional business group’s business goals and objectives.

·         Project Management experience leading projects and teams is highly desired including Process Improvement and Workflow Design and Optimization. Change Management expertise is also essential and an individual recognized as a talented “Change Agent” in this regard is a very attractive competency.

·         Amazing leadership and management skills are paramount to success in this role. The ability to motivate individuals and teams to accomplish goals while at the same time fostering a collegial and collaborative work environment with an eye on moral and personal and professional growth is essential!       

·         A strong business savvy communicator at all levels is essential to success and we need someone with a track record of establishing and fostering strong communications across many functions and business structures including both corporate and operations spread across global matrixes business models and service lines.

·         Regularly review and analyze metrics data to identify developing trends within the region and keep the regional group’s leadership informed of developing trends that impact the regional group’s business.

·         Plan, develop, implement, and facilitate training programs for the region.

·         Collaborate with leaders on the quality improvement process to develop and retain employees and promote quality service.

·         Ensure the proper resolution of employee relations issues.  Review and approve employee discharges and other disciplinary actions.  Ensure the proper administration of employee layoffs and work force transition efforts.

·         Provide coaching to managers on the most effective ways of addressing employee issues.  Improve employee satisfaction by identifying and responding to concerns and developing leadership and morale-building programs.

·         Maintain a current knowledge of problems with morale or organizational effectiveness throughout the region.  Review information such as employee exit data, turnover statistics, and complaints to identify problem areas and trends.  Develop and administer corrective action plans.


QUALIFICATIONS

Education:
Four-year college degree in Human Resources, business or related field

Masters is a nice to have but not required

Experience:
Seven to ten years of progressive Human Resources experience

At least Three years of management experience

Other Experience:
Given the scope and complexity of our operation, we prefer individual’s that come out of similar environment with a dispersed workforce across many locations and matrixed reporting structures.

Experience in Health Care and Human services is a “nice to have” but we have found leaders from retail, restaurant and hospitality have also done well in our company.

We are seeking a change agent who comes from dynamic and evolving HR settings and also willing to roll up their sleeves as needed.           

Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations:
SPHR or PHR Certification Preferred.

Travel:
15% to 25% Travel to Illinois, New Jersey, Texas,  Mass.
