Regional Inside Account Manager – Schools Program – Quill.com
Position Summary:
Quill.com (Staples, Inc.) is seeking an experienced account manager with a background in developing incremental revenue growth within a base of medium - large business or schools accounts. This position is located in the Lincolnshire, IL telesales center and is dedicated to developing business, via telephone, within our existing K-12 schools accounts. This inside sales role is a great entry into the Quill Sales organization, and will allow you to build upon an existing foundation of sales/service skills and then grow into other sales positions within Quill, or into other areas of the Quill business. You’ll have the opportunity to grow into other account management teams, training or sales management positions, or even marketing or merchandising. Primary Responsibilities:
- Daily outbound calling to Quill schools customers at the school district management level within a designated region to identify revenue-generating opportunities, improve and build new decision-making contacts, overall building awareness of customers' unique offerings from Quill.
- Using effective listening and questioning skills to qualify accounts for further services and products
- Adapting pricing agreements as required to accomodate additional school sites' needs
- Overseeing all steps of the bids process at the district level, in collaboration with internal bids team, sales admin support team, Quill education marketing group and education sales Team Mgr.
- Following up on inbound calls and e-mails
Basic Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- Professional, positive communication skills and energetic phone presence required
- Proficiency with PCs – MS Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint
- Must be able to type call notes while speaking on phone
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Minimum of 1 year telephone-based sales or retail sales experience is preferred but not required
- Experience as teacher or school office administrator preferred
