Under the guidance of the Senior Director, Intelligence Investigations, the Regional Intelligence Manager is responsible to manage the collection, analysis and dissemination of timely, relevant and predictive threat intelligence to Merck decision makers worldwide. In close coordination with Regional Security Directors, incumbent will also monitors and assesses the impact of political and security risk on company assets to include employees; facilities; proprietary information; supply chain and products. Additionally, incumbent will have a lead regional role in managing the relationships with contract providers of related services; programs; systems and information that facilitate their responsibilities. Incumbent delivers independently, and upon request, high value analytics that fully support the Global Security Group's mission and vision. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Risk Management: Lead the delivery of intelligence led security operations. Produce strategic and tactical threat assessments supported by analytical products. Present at meetings and within publications designed to deliver the strategy. Intelligence Activity: Formulate, monitor and review information sources. Produce quality intelligence products to protect and support the business and its associates. Implement and maintain continuous briefing systems. Protective Security: Design, implement, monitor and review systems and processes to analyze the threat, and deliver recommendations to mitigate risk to vulnerable locations, product and persons. Governance and Compliance: Support the definition and maintenance of Global Security regulations related to risk management and intelligences. Ensure all activities are of the highest legal and ethical standards. Produce, publish and promote Global Security policy and guidance. Collaboration: Act with regional peers in identifying services and project opportunities that can be leveraged globally. Establish and maintain seamless interface with regional management and operations. As a team member, positively shape the external environment by engaging industry associations; security and intelligence agencies in the protection of customers and company assets. Innovation: Exploit security and intelligence opportunities and improvements regionally and country by country. Participate in the identification of suitable regional intelligence technology/equipment and services. Stewardship: Ensure focused and aligned intelligence investment through regional/divisional management involvement in prioritizing and rationalizing business requirements. Improve spend through economies of scale, spend analysis and portfolio management. Quality: Analyze risk exposures and implement cost effective passive, reactive, and proactive programs to address these exposures. Accountable to assigned client groups and GSG management for efficient, highly effective and timely delivery of intelligence information. Qualifications Education * Bachelors Degree, preferably in Intelligence, Political Science, History or related discipline Required: * Superior Intelligence Analysis skills * Minimum of five years experience collecting, analyzing and disseminating strategic and tactical intelligence. * Proven ability to identify security threats, report pertinent information. * Excellent research and writing skills under extremely tight deadlines and competing demands. * Able to perform under pressure and respond rapidly to breaking situations. * Ability to work in varying situations, from committee work in which a "team player" approach is essential to situations in which considerable independence and self-motivation is required. * Must have the ability to think and act strategically.
