Regional Internal Controls and Reconciliations Manager recruitment

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated individual for the role of Regional Internal Controls and Reconciliations Manager.

Reporting to the Regional Controller, this position will have overall responsibility for managing the controls environments, internal and external audit processes and recommendations, receivables, intercompany balances, reinsurance accounting and other reconciliations.

Specific responsibilities will include:

• Testing compliance with the Internal Controls Framework in accordance with the regional test schedule;
• Designing an effective program to strengthen internal controls within the region;
• Making recommendations for improvement of overall internal controls, operations and accounting procedures;
• Leading and contributing to the development of policy, procedures and governance materials at both regional and New York level, with particular focus on ensuring compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley;
• Determining all areas that are non-compliant and recommending solutions;
• Ensuring compliance with management stated objectives, Company policies, GAAP, SEC and other pertinent regulatory pronouncements; and
• Overseeing, on a regional basis, all premiums receivables, reinsurance loss recoveries and other receivables.

The successful candidate for this position will be ACA (or equivalent) qualified and possess a minimum of 5 years' post-qualification experience in a Big 4 audit firm or large multinational, preferably with internal auditing experience.

Outstanding analytical skill, a high level of attention to detail and knowledge of best practice internal controls policies and procedures will be essential for success.
