Job Title: Regional Manager
Reports to: Senior Regional Manager
Role Level: 3.3

Job Purpose:
The purpose of the Regional Manager (RM) role is to operationally lead the day to day engagement with a number of providers within the portfolio of the SRM they are reporting to. This will include summarising provider positions and performance, managing relationships with provider operational leads and responding to queries and issues as they arise. The RM will ensure rigourous application of the Monitor license regime on providers, pro-actively identifying potential risks of a breach of the license and pro-actively supporting SRMs manage resolution of these issues.

Main Accountabilities:
As the operational day to day lead for a number of providers the RM will be accountable for:
• Conduct relevant analysis and research necessary in the monitoring and summarising of provider in-year performance. This includes generating rating recommendations for financial risk, governance and mandatory services against the license;
• Identify and report on actual or potential non-compliance with the license of all providers within their portfolio, in line with the RAF, and where appropriate work with the SRM to recommend and execute remedial actions to address issues;
• Build appropriate regulatory relationships with their providers, liaising with relevant provider leads on risk-assessments, financial projections and current financial performance, quality issues and providing feedback to provider leads on submissions;
• Take ownership for delivery of aspects of the annual plan review process for a number of providers, through evaluating submissions, attending meetings and conducting financial analysis;
• Provide analysis of provider submissions into Board reports, briefing packs etc, ensuring that presentation of information enables an informed discussion on the provider and accurately represents their current position (inc risk rating); and
• Draft briefings and regulatory correspondence as appropriate;
• Support SRM in developing and managing key stakeholder relationships; and
• Manage the day to day regulatory relationship with providers as necessary and in line with the execution of monitoring processes.
