As Regional Manager within the Asset Finance team you will be an expert in a particular product area (Product Specialist) in Santander Corporate Bank by managing business analysis to assist short and long term performance monitoring and planning to enable effective commercial decisions and partnering with the Relationship teams which add value to the bottom-line.
You will support the Head of the Product area in the marketing, managing, reporting and the delivery of the product suite across the Santander Corporate Banking platform.
You will also manage the compliance of all internal/external regulatory requirements for the product area.

As a Regional Manager - Asset Finance your skills and qualifications will ideally include:
Proven track record of experience in business development
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to develop working relationships at senior levels
Well-developed analytical and numerical skills
A strong commercial background is essential with awareness of internal and external issues affecting business
Detailed knowledge of Asset Finance
Strong organisational and planning skills with effective prioritisation of deadlines with the ability to work under pressure with excellent time management skills
Strong business development and sales experience in a B2B environment in the Financial Services marketplace along with a proven ability to leverage an understanding of the market place and utilising existing contacts to deliver new to bank business
Strong commercial negotiating and selling skills with the ability to represent the bank professionally and effectively with new and existing customers at executive and board level.
Detailed knowledge of preparing credit submissions including analysing accounts / cash flows and business strategy as they apply to bank lending
As a Regional Manager - Asset Finance your main responsibilities will involve:
Generation of income through sale of product ( to new and existing customers for protection / enhancement of portfolio (NB some product management/specialist roles involve direct business origination)
Maximising profit opportunities and mitigate potential residual value losses in the most cost effective manner
Proactive management of monthly income, turnover, and contribution reports against budget and Identify and implement new initiatives for income growth
Adding value to the business by continual review of processes and procedures, seizing opportunities for improvement and driving change when required
Providing a timely alert to senior management on any potential commercial issues having an impact on future profitability and offering solutions where appropriate increasing the departmental focus on areas of risk and uncertainty
Ensuring compliance in all internal/external regulatory requirements for product and provide support, guidance and a control environment for the relevant product
Meeting retention and customer satisfaction targets
Achieving defined number of new to bank customers within the particular sector per annum with a defined minimum number of product sales and increase average customer product holding average across portfolio (new and existing).
Responsibility for negotiating terms and advising both Relationship teams and customers on the particular products offered and the suitability of those products to individual customers
Achieve and maintain the required levels of regulatory process and to effectively manage and recommend appropriate risk exposures in accordance with the Group's risk principles
To assist in the production of applications for lending including where necessary the extraction and interpretation of financial data and reports from potential and existing customers, preparation of balance sheet analysis and all supporting documentation
To be involved in the preparation of credit line facility requests for new and existing relationship customers
Proactively managing any arrears / bad debt cases in conjunction with the recoveries team
Location: the role covers Merseyside, Cheshire and North Wales. We are flexible on your base location and there is an opportunity to work from home.
Salary: up to £45,000 + £6,000 car allowance and excellent benefits
