JOB SUMMARY:
In this highly visible role within the Office of the COO, the Market Strategy Manager provides leadership, facilitation, insight and support to develop and deliver regional market strategies and plans. In collaboration with the regional market leaders, this individual works with a cross-functional market Team to develop, deliver, monitor and recalibrate multi-year market plans that integrate with the Corporate Plan. A key aspect of this role is working with the emerging market leaders to assure that HPHC's response to the external competitive environment is well-planned and appropriately prioritized and executed. An additional aspect of this position is leading and project managing corporate initiatives, requiring a high level of internal/external integration and content knowledge.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Manage complex initiatives and/or alliances that require integration across multiple HPHC business units. These include but are not limited to regional market initiatives linked to the company's strategic plan.
- Provide business planning, development, and implementation support to the VP, Emerging markets and regional market leaders.
- Manage and implement an effective and collaborative meeting structure for the market Teams to ensure that discussions are appropriately focused, timely, and incorporate input from internal and external subject matter experts.
- Systematically collect and leverage market-facing information from market team members. This includes sharing input and insight that inform and influence market planning, development, performance management and recalibration. Also involves maintaining systems and processes within each market region to capture data submitted by team members for efficient retrieval and use by internal customers.
- Manage market initiatives including maintaining charters, schedules, agendas, and deliverables, as well as coordinating with presenters to ensure goals are met. Also includes coordination of cross-functional activities/deliverables within market teams and oversight structure, as well as managing handoffs and monitoring action items through completion.
- Support the regional market leaders in rationalizing which inputs are actionable and ensuring that these are prioritized in the Market Plan.
- Collaborate in the development and implementation of processes that support market planning, evaluation and recalibration within and across markets.
REQUIREMENTS
- Masters in Business Administration, Health Administration or a related field
- 7-10 years experience in health industry, marketing or other related fields required.
- Extensive knowledge of the health industry and its customers.
- Expertise in strategy development, planning, and the development of customer insights.
- A proven track record in working successfully with people at multiple levels inside and outside the organization.
- Strategic planning/mapping Market/business analysis and development Market intelligence facilitation skills.
- Broad knowledge of insurance industry.
- Strategic planning and business plan development experience.
- Ability to synthesize information and develop insights.
- Demonstrated advanced facilitation skills,Team leadership/development skills.
- Strong negotiation and conflict negotiation/resolution skills.
- Proven ability to work effectively in a cross-functional environment.
- Superior communication skills (verbal and written).
- Large project leadership and management experience.
