Special note candidates can work in Kaiser Hawaii or Pleasanton offices. Kaiser Permanente HealthConnect is an integrated clinical and administrative information management system that integrates the patients electronic medical record with their appointments, registration and billing information. The system will link KP departments and facilities nationwide, providing KP physicians and care teams access to current and comprehensive patient information and providing KP members 24/7 online access to key portions of their medical record. Enhancing patient safety and care quality, the impact and benefits of KP HealthConnect are expected to be felt throughout all of KP and to set new standards for the healthcare industry as a whole. Regional Planning Lead Role Responsibilities: Work closely with regions to plan and strategize future initiatives. Responsible for implementing and maintaining the sustaining model in the region. Work with BIO organizations to monitor end-to-end delivery of HealthConnect projects. Responsible for HealthConnect implementations in the region. Work closely with internal SI teams to continuously identify improvements to HealthConnect infrastructure and processes. Responsible for all SI deliverables to the regions. Responsible for tracking incident resolution and implementation of associated prevention items. Is responsible for deployment activities within a KP HealthConnect regions. Review the systems integration activities for non-EPIC applications. Create a demand management channel and assure delivery of deliverables from the national teams. Monitor work efforts between the technical teams to ensure the success of the project for their individual region. Single point of contact for customer outreach and competency center. Closely interact with teams within and outside of the SI organization. Regional Planning Lead owns regional relationships. Acts as the escalation path to the region. Provide operational requirements internal teams. Regional Planning Lead will work with the BIO and Regional Business partner to get better understanding of the regional Initiatives, Deployment Strategy, Regional Budgets etc. Regional initiated Projects will be funneled through the Regional Planning Lead who then will involve SI teams as appropriate. Capacity Planning ( More regional users ) Performance issues will be channeled through Regional Planning Leads from the region. Regional Planning Lead then engage appropriate teams.* Regional Planning Leads will also share regional initiatives with other regions can learn from it.Other Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Computer Science, EE or MIS or 4 additional years of related experience - 8-10 years minimum experience as a team lead in an IT or software development environment, preferably in a planning function, for an enterprise application showing progressively responsible career growth - 5 years minimum deep process knowledge of software development and release functions - 3-5 years experience working as technical lead for large/ enterprise software package. - This position requires 3-5 years of healthcare or clinical application support experience - 3 years minimum working knowledge of Remedy (Change Management Tool) - Experience deploying large scale applications - 2-3 years of project management experience is required. - Please note that this position has special features which requires employees to be on call 24/7 to support Kaiser's critical environment. This includes nights and weekends.) - Ability to coordinate and work with multiple IT Groups and business groups. - Excellent communication skills - Track record and penchant for developing processes and mentoring lower level resources - Prior work experience in a complex, matrixed organizational structure - Healthcare or Clinical Application Support background is required Preferred qualifications: -Experience with Epic systems a plus -Pervious consulting background is highly desired
