Main Function

The role is for a Senior Project Manager, responsible for the day to day management of the bChat2 Programme across the bank. Chat is a critical communication tool used across Investment Bank, Wealth Management, Absa, Corporate and parts of Retail Business Bank users. The bChat2 Programme will develop the next generation of chat product replacing existing legacy chat systems which will be deployed globally (~140k users). This Project Manager role will manage the Project team located in UK.

Main Duties

§ Day to day management of global project and coordinate activities across departments and clusters

§ Complete required updates to status and deliverables in line with PMO standards

§ Maintain core Project Documentation and Project Folders (Plans, Actions Log, CRAID Log, High Light Reports, Steering Committee Status Reports)

§ Manage Vendor relationship during the development and implementation phases of the Program

§ Create Project baseline plans to include project schedules, resource requirements and estimated budget

§ Manage the global programme to the agreed project timeline and budget

§ Direct and advise global Project Team (Regional Project Managers, Business Analysts (BA), Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and operational staff) on project activities

§ Schedule, attend and document project meetings and workshops for the various project groups

§ Manage Vendors TE spend in accordance to signed SOW and programme budget

§ Run weekly, monthly and ad hoc reports using Excel (including pivot tables), PowerPoint and other project management applications

§ Establish and document operational procedures with handover to BAU management

Person Requirements

§ Strong Project/Programme Manager with proven track record of managing large programmes

§ Project Management accreditation required (Agile, PMP or PRINCE 2)

§ Previous experience managing application development projects

§ Previous experience managing Global Enterprise Application rollout programmes

§ Previous experience managing external Vendor relationship

§ Strong computer skills with advanced capabilities using PowerPoint, Excel, and Word, MS Projects, Visio

o Comfortable manipulating excel to produce metrics, pivot tables, charts, etc

* Proficient with MSProject for plan creations/maintaining
* Proficient with MS Sharepoint for centralising Programme file store
* Excellent written and verbal communications

§ Strong attention to detail skills and ability to juggle multiple projects

Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact with all levels of management
