We are currently seeking a talented Regional Portfolio Management Consultant for our Tampa, FL facility.
PURPOSE OF JOB
The Regional Consultant evaluates products and solutions and develops and implements strategies and training that increase advisor effectiveness in providing appropriate financial solutions to USAA's membership.
JOB DUTIES
- Applies expert knowledge of basic and complex retirement plans, products, and related topics.
- Identifies opportunities to enhance product and service offerings to members and increase advisor product knowledge.
- Provides recommendations to leadership regarding retirement solutions, which may involve single products or combinations of products or combinations of products and financial advice.
- May contribute to product development or enhancement efforts.
- Evaluates, develops and/or implements educational and training deliverables, such as seminars, white papers, and coaching sessions, about available financial solutions to advisors within an assigned region.
- Analyzes business unit sales by product to monitor performance and develop strategies to meet goals.
- Coaches advisors on how products and solutions will meet member needs.
- Partners with leadership, process and product owners to develop strategies and provides input on initiatives that expand business development opportunities and promote desirable business results.
- Conducts book of business or member analysis to assist advisor in identifying member needs and opportunities.
- Collaborates with advisors and specialists to evaluate and/or present retirement solutions and related financial advice to USAA members.
Minimum Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- 6+ years wholesaling, sales training and coaching, or related financial services work experience.
- Experience delivering frequent written and oral communication to large and small audiences.
- Experience acquiring and applying new concepts and information.
- Experience processing and analyzing information.
- Experience fulfilling requests and meeting deadlines.
- Experience resolving conflict, negotiating, and influencing acceptance and adoption of new proposals.
- Experience multitasking in an operating systems environment.
- Experience participating in or leading teams.
- Experience in problem solving, including identifying process and product needs and gaps, developing solutions and plans to implement solutions.
- Required maintenance of FINRA Series 7 and 63 licenses.
- Expert knowledge of qualified and nonqualified retirement plans.
- Expert knowledge of all annuity types, including fixed, variable, and immediate.
- Expert knowledge of individual retirement accounts.
- Knowledge of sales techniques.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Data analysis and interpretation skills.
Preferred
- One or more of the following designations:
o Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA).
o Certified Financial Planner (CFP).
o Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA). - Expert knowledge of modern portfolio theory, asset allocation, asset types and classifications, UMA.
