Description
The Regional Product Manager is responsible for managing and controlling all the product management functions within their particular region. The focus is to manage a team of professionals (usually AVP, VP level), understand the competitive landscape, work closely with the other Asset Servicing teams (relationship management, client service, operations and accounting), support large scale prospective new business deals with technical skills, develop thought leadership whitepapers, as well as create business requirements and manage technology development. The person will be an expert in the product(s) that they support.
A creative, innovative approach is required in order to bring new products to market. The responsibilities focus on strategic development of the PRA products. These products include performance measurement, analytics and attribution, advanced analytics, universe comparison services, compliance and value-at-risk. The Regional Product Manager role includes the oversight of a team that will produce business requirements and documents, functional specifications, testing, training, product documentation and problem resolution.
Qualifications
At least 10-15 years in risk management or asset management.
Ability to define, analyze and solve problems. High level communication skills (spoken and written). Able to work to demanding deadlines. Experience with managing technology priorities.
Ability to sell products to large-scale prospects. A deep understanding of the organization and other key business lines in order to leverage and cross sell.
