Regional Sales Associate recruitment
Overview SEI Investments Distribution Co. has an opening on its Distribution Team for a Regional Sales Associate supporting the SEI Asset Management Distribution team. This Oaks, PA based position will support SEI’s Asset Management Distribution efforts in Canada. The Regional Sales Associate (RSA) will be responsible for working with multiple Regional Sales Directors to develop a territory by proactively developing and maintaining relationships within select banks and broker/dealers by promoting SEI’s Asset Management solution. A successful RSA must understand the broker/dealer channel, communicate SEI’s Investment Philosophy effectively, and have the ability to develop and maintain advisor relationships. This is an office based role focused on advisors throughout Canada and the majority of contact is by telephone and online meetings.
Job Description:
- Responsible for proactively gathering new assets under management and retaining assets in conjunction with a Regional Director for the territory. Will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with advisors, educating advisors on SEI’s Investment Philosophy and Investment Models, and promoting relevant strategies for utilizing them. Daily activities include 40+ daily outbound sales and prospecting calls, conducting group phone and online meetings, providing sales support for the Regional Director and receiving inbound calls and emails from advisors. May also be responsible for conducting limited field meetings and coverage of Industry and broker/dealer conferences.
- Will participate in all team conference calls and meetings, team and industry training, as well as periodic travel and conference attendance. Will also be responsible for developing and executing tactical business plans for the territory, within the parameters of the overall channel business plan.
Required Experiences, Attributes and Skills:
- BS/BA required, Business related degree preferred. Additional advanced degrees or certifications a plus.
- Series 7 and 63 or the ability to obtain within 90 days.
- 3+ years experience in financial services, with prior internal wholesaling experience or brokerage sales experience preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Effective consultative sales and relationship management skills.
- Strong presentation skills and ability to conduct phone meetings effectively.
- Position is based in Oaks, PA, and may require up to 10 % travel.

Physical Demands and Work Environment While performing the duties of this job, the work environment may require an individual to move around the office and from building to building which may expose the individual to weather conditions outside. The individual has to be able to sit or be stationary at a computer and use computers for extended periods of time and occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. The noise level in the environment is moderate and the individual must be able to communicate and exchange information with people in person and over the telephone and email
