Regional Sales Associate: Toronto recruitment
SEI Asset Management Distribution Canada has an immediate opening on its Distribution Team for a Regional Sales Associate supporting the SEI Asset Management Distribution team. The Regional Sales Associate-Asset Management Distribution (RSA) will be responsible for working with a Regional Sales Director to develop a territory by proactively developing and maintaining relationships within select broker/dealers by promoting SEI’s Asset Management solution. A successful RSA must understand the b/d marketplace, effectively communicate SEI’s Investment Philosophy, and develop and maintain new advisor relationships. This is primarily an office based role focused on advisors throughout the Toronto and GTA territory and the majority of contact is by telephone and online meetings.
Responsible for proactively gathering new assets under management and retaining assets in conjunction with a Regional Director for the territory.
- BS/BA required, Business related degree preferred. Additional advanced degrees or certifications a plus.
- Canadian Securities Course(CSC) or the ability to obtain within 90 days.
- A minimum of 3 years experience in financial services, with prior internal wholesaling experience or brokerage sales experience preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Effective consultative sales and relationship management skills.
- Strong presentation skills and ability to conduct in person meetings effectively.
- Position is based in Toronto, Canada, and may require up to 10 % travel.
- Will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with advisors, educating advisors on SEI’s Investment Philosophy and Investment Models, and promoting relevant strategies for utilizing them.
- Daily activities include 40+ daily outbound sales and prospecting calls, conducting group phone and online meetings, providing sales support for the Regional Director and receiving inbound calls and emails from advisors.
- May also be responsible for conducting limited field meetings and coverage of Industry and broker/dealer conferences.
- Will participate in all team conference calls and meetings, team and industry training, as well as periodic travel and conference attendance.
- Will also be responsible for developing and executing tactical business plans for the territory, within the parameters of the overall channel business plan.
Requirements:
