DreamBox Learning has an opening for a Regional Sales Consultant (RSC) at its corporate office, located in Raleigh NC. The RSC is responsible for selling new business to Schools and Districts within an assigned territory in the United States and will have an annual quota which will be achieved by diligently working their assigned territory. The RSC will be held accountable to monthly, quarterly and annual results, and daily and weekly activities will be reported including number of weekly webinars, actual contract value and maintaining a healthy pipeline volume.
The position duties include:
- Responsible for outbound calling to target organizations and school entities in order to generate interest in and assess the need for DreamBox Learning solutions.
- Responsible for qualifying prospective customers, documenting needs, and identifying key decision-makers where DreamBox Learning solutions can benefit curriculum design.
- Prospects, schedules and delivers on-line demonstrations, presentations, and needs assessments. Proactively develops follow-up communication plan for targeted accounts and consistently articulates clear benefits to both experienced and inexperienced audiences.
- Efficiently and effectively closes business by securing a Purchase Order or Credit Card transaction for school and district subscriptions to DreamBox Learning.
- Manages and tracks all activities and prospect data within SalesForce and/or sales measurement applications. Maintains established standards for the minimum number of prospecting and follow-up activities within assigned territory/region.
- Attend regional and/or national educational events with DBL Sales and Marketing staff. Maintains in-depth understanding of state and national educational developments.
- Provide immediate, direct feedback to internal DBL Sales and Marketing teams regarding market adoption and customer issues. Acts as liaison to internal DBL teams regarding performance and field quality issues surrounding software product demo and presentation.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Requires Bachelor’s degree in related area; or equivalent experience.
- Requires minimum 2 years related experience selling educational software with a consistent track record of meeting or exceeding quota every quarter.
- Requires minimum 2 years inside sales experience.
- In-depth experience with competitive analysis, educational research and strategic product demonstration.
- Strong understanding of primary grade system instructional design development and educational standards is preferred.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:
- Demonstrated capability to consistently close new sales prospects and build revenue with a consistent track record of educational software sales success.
- Outstanding consultative selling abilities with professional presentational skills and communication. Ability to gain the trust of other parties during negotiation in an ethical, professional manner.
- Demonstrated proficiency in building territory sales strategy and overcoming obstacles during all phases of sales efforts.
- Proven ability in engaging public and private education professionals at all levels. Must be able to identify and plan for actions to maximize DBL positioning for follow-up customer focus.
- Ability to collaborate with all levels of DBL staff to help foster a results driven environment. Uses resources effectively and efficiently.
- Ability to prioritize workload to meet deadlines and sales objectives.
- Advanced MSFT Office, Salesforce.com or other CRM skills.
