Position Summary

The Regional Sales Liaison Director is responsible for managing leading reimbursement business/services for one region of the US: East, Central or West Region.

The major accountabilities include coaching a team of 50+ reimbursement agents to achieve key performance metrics, share best practices, and improve customer service. The individual will collaborate with a cross functional team to optimize programs and processes in a changing Payer/Specialty Pharmacy environment. The Director, Reimbursement will liaise with the Regional Sales Director to understand regional field reimbursement issues, and to drive consistent, high quality service for key regional pre-scribers.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Management/Leadership
o Aligning the  team with the corporate culture, hiring, training development, performance evaluation, account targeting and coverage, and efficient effective deployment of both human and financial resources
o Responsible for coaching and leading the regional pods and shared resources
o Ensure compliance with policies and procedures
o Responsible to work collaboratively across various disciplines.

Reimbursement Services: Partner with the field to provide reimbursement knowledge and program process support across the changing reimbursement landscape (CMS, Commercial Payers)
o Work with Nurse Educators and other key field force stakeholders in providing seamless reimbursement services to patients and HCPs

Program Optimization: Collaborate with brand teams to understand value drivers and key business challenges, in order to optimize scope of ervices and patient outcomes
o Leverage best practices and lessons learned to improve customer satisfaction, and optimize vendor/program resource mix.
o Develop streamlined and efficient processes to provide seamless best in class care

Business Performance Management: Manage the performance and quality service levels that pertain to the directors regional business responsibility
o Liaise with Regional Director (RD) to provide a single point of contact relating to PSC operational activities within the Program
o Drive the overall patient and HCP experience and satisfaction from Rx to specialty pharmacy triage
o Alignment with RD performance metrics
o Will play a key role in the development, implementation and execution of both national and regional strategies

Patient Education and Adherence: Support programs that utilize RNs, social workers, case man-agers, or others to deliver disease state, caregiver and adherence patient education at home, or on-line in order to improve outcomes.
o Understand the needs of patients and those associated with their continuum of care, especially when associated with specialty or biologic therapeutics
o Ensure field training and preparation prior to launch to educate HCPs

Customer Relationship Management and Satisfaction: Collaborate with RD and other field team members to provide proactive customer support and issue resolution. Build prescriber confidence and build loyalty to medication, and to improve outcomes through successful services.
o Together with RD, support key MS customers, as well as attending regional and national programs and conventions to ensure a complete understanding of the MS marketplace, customers and key competitors.
o Customers include office-based Neurologists, specialists at the MS Centers of Excellence and healthcare professionals in other Neurology and MS centers of influence 
o Customer satisfaction

 Specialty Pharmacy: Collaborate with Specialty Pharmacy liaisons of the program to create end to end performance management:
o Patient and Physician distribution services

Experience and Education Requirements

Bachelors degree required (preferred in Life Sciences, Pharmacy or business related discipline).
Advanced degree (MBA, MA) preferred

Marketing experience preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of successful pharmaceutical specialty sales experience required, with leadership experience a plus.

Reimbursement and managed markets knowledge
Understanding Payor formulary position and consequences, prior authorizations, etc.
Project management and organization skill set
Effectively coordinate and implement various change initiatives identified (project management)
Vendor Management
Enhanced communication, planning and consulting skills to support and enable to translation of brand strategic direction into operational actions
Understand the overall brand positioning, strategy, and role the PSC and Program vendor plays in the strategy
Work effectively with brand teams by understanding the brand  and workload
Business Analysis and optimization - Provide input, feedback, and insights into reporting metrics and analyze choke points within the Program
Call Center Operations
Knowledge regarding pharmacy distribution models and specialty pharmacy capabilities a plus as it relates to biologics, specialty therapeutics, and innovative approaches to product distribution

Qualified candidates must have a strong customer-focused alignment and relationship base

Demonstrate a record of success in their ability to lead and inspire a reimbursement team towards meeting and exceeding objectives, to communicate and implement tactical product strategies with a sophisticated audience, and to think strategically (i.e., "outside the box" and look at the "big picture") while providing creative and innovative solutions to market problems.

Personal integrity and leadership abilities are essential.

Excellent interpersonal, communication (both written and verbal), and excellent presentation skills are required.

Must be able to effectively multi-task, problem-solve, and make decisions
