St. Louis Park, MN

Dakota Growers Pasta Company, a subsidiary of Viterra,

is seeking an experienced, results oriented sales professional

to join our team as a Regional Sales Manager.

 

The Regional Sales Manager will be responsible for maintaining and growing sales volume with existing private label and Dakota Growers brand accounts, and developing new business for assigned retail customers.   This position will build and maintain strong business relationships with customers and will develop a clear understanding of customer and buyer goals and strategies. 

The Regional Sales Manager will be relied upon to identify opportunities for new business, obtain new product placements, implement price changes and accruals, and to develop and execute annual business reviews for all accounts.  Management of trade funds, interaction with the broker community, resolution of deductions and invoicing issues, and development of production forecasts will also be key functions of this position.

Our ideal candidate will be an analytical strategic thinker who has completed four (4) years post secondary education in business, sales or a related field, supplemented with a minimum of 10 years of progressive sales experience in the retail grocery class of trade.  Candidates should have strong mathematical/calculation skills and an understanding of financial and business matters that affect profitability.  Computer proficiency is required.

The successful candidate will be a positive, customer service oriented individual with superior verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, and will demonstrate a high degree of integrity, ethics, honesty.  Excellent organizational follow up skills, along with the ability to maintain high standards and accountability are essential.

Travel will be required.
