Regional Sales Manager Part Time Job in Dallas, Texas US
Gourmet food manufacturer in Georgia seeks a Regional Sales Manager to cover our Dallas Fort Worth and Oklahoma market. This is a part time position with the possibility that it could grow into a full time position.
This position will be responsible for selling frozen food products such as hors d’oeuvres and entrees to hotels, convention centers, caterers and restaurants thru food service distributors by performing the following duties:
Compile lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads, based on information from newspapers, business directories, industry ads, trade shows, internet web sites, and other sources. Travel thru assigned territory to call on regular and prospective customers to promote our hors d’oeuvres. Displays or demonstrates product, using samples or catalog, emphasizing salable features.
Maintains and nurtures relationship with assigned distributors. Provides distributor personnel product and market training.
Develops sales budgets for assigned distributors in conjunction with the President.
Investigates and helps to resolve customer problems.
Communicates regularly with distributors about many business subjects, including but not limited to: marketing participation levels, food shows, price changes, outside cold storage inventory, stocking contracts, distributor sales goals, special events, new products, distributor inventory, POS material, and market competition.
Helps to plan and is available to work trade shows.
Requirements:
Ideal applicant will have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent business experience.
Minimum 2 years of experience selling a structured value proposition preferably within the food service industry.
