Regional Sales Manager recruitment
MAIN ACTIVITIES/TASKS:
- Generate enquiries by prospecting and selling to maximize profitable sales, including sales visits, making outbound telephone calls and organizing marketing as and where appropriate.
- Maximize profitable renewal retention by building and managing relationships with key decision makers.
- Manage intermediary service level delivery and expectations by guiding underwriting and administration resources as appropriate to judged intermediary commitment, responding to broker and underwriter enquiries in a professional, courteous and helpful manner, ensuring all relevant information is obtained and communicated.
- Negotiate intermediary commission and Premium Finance terms as appropriate to Company standards and expectations.
- Conduct intermediary visits promoting company services, products and brand to optimize profit and penetration in line with business objectives and finding facts to identify broker requirements, maintaining an accurate record of broker’s circumstances and objectives and relevance to the Company.
- Plan and organize activities to ensure that maximum territory time is spent on quality and productive target brokers with all reporting requirements being met.
- Recommend, monitor review new and existing agency appointments in line with Company strategy
- Source other income generating opportunities outside of Company core classes through new product ideas and new distribution channels.
- Build excellent working relationships with all internal staff and appropriate parts of the Group ensuring maximum benefit to both broker and other business units.
- Keep abreast of all market and industry developments particularly competitor activity and regulatory requirements, feeding back relevant information
- Active participation commitment to Sales Initiatives, Marketing Campaigns Industry events and other duties and responsibilities as may be required by the Sales and Marketing Manager.
REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
Broad experience of general insurance and detailed knowledge of the commercial market, knowledge of the rural market an advantage.
- Preferably ACII qualified with minimum 2 years underwriting and 5 years sales experience
- Proven track record of profitable business development
- Detailed knowledge of the Republic of Ireland broker market and issues surrounding the industry
- Excellent product knowledge
- Proven sales; negotiations presentation skills
- High level of inter personal and communication skills
- Effective time management and numeracy skills
- Self motivated with ability to think outside the box and laterally
- Strives for professional excellence
- Team player
KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS:
- Manage intermediary relations to agreed targets covering Total GPW, Claims Ratios, and Net Income
- Achievement of new business premium income budget within your managed area to agreed targets
- Conduct intermediary visits per month communicating and recording outcomes in Company report form to agreed targets
