Regional Sales Manager- West Coast Job
GENERAL SUMMARY: AM is responsible for driving sales revenue from a regional territory; is the primary customer-facing person with support of Inside Sales and Customer Service; communicates micro-market conditions back to management team.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Achievement of Revenue Goal:
· Fulfills gross profit goal within product pricing targets set by the Ontario Sales Manager
· Achieves this through maintaining desired blend of module, inverter, mounting systems, BOS sales from both existing and new customers located within specified region
2. Account Management:
· Building relationships with accounts in regional territory to build up repetitive business
· Medium term forecasting, individual account strategy, setting up account plans and short-term response to market conditions
· Pricing strategy based on volume expectations
· Product recommendation and feedback appropriate to regional and customer-specific needs
· Primary interface with customer – pre-sale, sale and post-sale activities- expectations with lead-time, credit terms and order tracking (with Inside Sales and Customer Service dept.)
3. Market Intelligence
· Will provide feedback to management team of market-specific pricing and technical product requirements
ORGANIZATION RELATIONSHIPS: Direct, official contact is with Ontario Sales Manager and members of CS, Credit and tech support team. Will participate in discussion with marketing team and purchasing team on a secondary basis as specific need arises; however strategic discussions will take place through superior.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
1) Knowledge, skills abilities:
· Must have sales experience or demonstrate ability to communicate features/benefits of technology in a complex environment utilizing exceptional communication skills.
· Must have or achieve/maintain detailed product knowledge.
· Must have customer-service oriented mentality.
· Knowledge of finance-oriented sales a plus
· Problem solving skills and comfort with dynamic environment essential for growth.
· Proficiency with MS Office and computer literacy a must
2) Minimum educational level:
- 4 year bachelors degree preferred but can be waived for person with excellent communication skills.
3) Minimum experience:
2 yearsexperience in:
- distribution sales;
- solar industry (sales);
- complex solution sales or;
- technical sales and installation experience
4) Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to type and use telephone
- Travel and ability to drive an automobile may be required
