Regional Senior Credit Officer, VP (Fluent Mandarin Chinese) recruitment
Job Overview:
Responsible for managing a portfolio of credit risk within the assigned Surety Profit Center region. This includes reviewing credit submissions originated within the region for approval consideration as well as assigning Obligor Risk Ratings for those submissions approved. The Regional Credit Officer will also be responsible for potentially managing the team of credit analysts that may exist in the region.
Functional Responsibility:
Provide support to the Global Credit Executive in their role of managing the credit risk profile of Profit Center.
Review and consider for approval credit submissions within the credit officer's authority. Make recommendations to the Global Credit Executive for submissions outside the credit officer's authority.
Prepare and distribute quarterly reports as required.
Responsible for training financial analysts within the assigned region.
Ensure timely responses and feedback to the underwriting teams with respect to credit approval decisions.
Pro-actively participate in the due diligence of complex obligors to identify potentially problematic credit risks and recommend solutions to these scenarios.
Monitor the regional portfolio for compliance of credit conditions that may exist.
Ensure that all Obligor Risk Ratings within the assigned region are kept current.
Monitor monthly Risk Aggregation Reports for limit compliance, maturity pipelines, country limit compliance and concentrations risks.
Stay abreast of regional market conditions with respect to industry risks, sovereign risks and/or financial institutions risks.
Communicate with the regional underwriting and regional credit teams to effectively monitor the portfolio's credit risk.
Maintain credit files as prescribed.
Leadership Skills:
Strong influencing communication skills and ability to work across multiple area of the profit center and the company.
Ability to work independently in the management of the assigned credit portfolio and provide leadership and guidance to financial analysts that may exist within the team.
Technical Skills and Expertise:
Minimum ten years' experience analyzing and assessing credit risk in either a banking or insurance environment.
Strong computer skills.
Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
Effective personnel management skills.
Strong writing skills.
