Your Responsibilities
Lead, manage and/or coordinate the Sourcing, Contract, and Supplier Management Processes for the region Europe and Latin America. This includes analysing the spend data to develop a regional sourcing strategy, managing high value complex commodities (EUR 15m), leading sourcing process from research to selection to termination or renewal. Developing and enforcing supplier service level agreements and making clarifications/recommendations to policy. Managing the procurement software system support and workflow operations.
- Analyses spend data to develop sourcing strategy for assigned commodities
- Ownership of sourcing processes in supplier selection, management of supplier service level agreements and contract review and negotiations for assigned commodities. This includes maximizing supplier relationships, managing supplier expectations, and insuring that Suppliers meet commitments in contracts
- Maintain, re-evaluate, and expand reliable sources of supply and secondary sources as alternates to promote appropriate competition
- Leverage and collaborate with internal clients to maximize cost, delivery and quality value to UL. Collaborate with Finance to validate cost savings and drive them to the bottom line
- Coordinate the sourcing and supplier management processes across UL globally for assigned commodities
- May provide coaching for junior sourcing team members
- Some international travel will be required
Your Profile
Essential
- University degree in Business Administration (or related field)
- Strong data entry skills, accuracy, multi-tasking, and ability to work independently
- Proven organization and interpersonal skills, ability to coordinate several projects at one time
- Strong IT skills – comfortable in use of spreadsheets and databases
- Ability/Experience in analyzing complex spend data
Desirable
- European language skills
- Five years of relevant experience in a purchasing role
- Demonstrated ability to implement Supplier Management processes with mission critical suppliers
- Demonstrated ability to analyse commodity spend data and translate the analysis into detailed commodity sourcing strategies
- Knowledge of Sourcing and Supplier Management
- Knowledge of purchasing principles, negotiating techniques/principles and business/contract law
